    GCU's MSc in Big Data Technologies helps you build the fundamental knowledge and practical skills for success in this fast-growing field. You'll develop competence in a range of emerging technologies: big data, cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, the internet of things and data visualisation.     With both full-time and part-time study available, the course is ideal for someone with a background in computer science, software engineering, web technologies or computer engineering who wants to enhance or update their skills.     Please note that new applications to this programme's January 2023 intake are now closed for international and EU (without pre-settled status) students. Applications remain open for students from the UK and Republic of Ireland.

    Take existing skills in computing, computer engineering or electronics and apply them to postgraduate-level study in data engineering, data-science/analytics and IoT. Progress as a data analyst, systems architect or IT/data engineer.
