This program will ensure graduates gain the core knowledge and skills required to become successful practising WHS professionals. Your ability to deliver best practice WHS in contemporary workplace will be enhanced.

The Graduate Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety develops your knowledge and skills in four key areas.

Key areas of study include:

• Workplace Health and Safety Law
• Workplace Safety
• Occupational Hygiene and Toxicology
• Risk Management.

Entry to the GCWHS will be available to applicants who have:

• A Diploma in OHS of 1 year duration or equivalent, plus 2 years (full time equivalent) relevant work experience; or
• An Advanced Diploma in OHS or equivalent qualification, plus 1 year (full time equivalent) relevant work experience; or
• A Bachelor degree or higher; or
• 3 years full time equivalent significant work experience in WHS.

Work experience is evidenced by a CV and Statements of Service. Applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Overall minimum: 6.5

Sub test minimum: 6

At the successful completion of the program, graduates will have an enhanced ability to engage with industry and their community. You will be equipped with the skills to develop safety campaigns in response to the occupational, health and safety needs of your affiliated organisation. Graduates will be qualified for career opportunities across a range of industries.
