Master of Commerce with a Specialisation in Applied Economics

    About

Economic decision making by governments, businesses and individuals can significantly impact our lives, behaviour and wellbeing. Applied economic analysis is an increasingly important field, requiring people who are skilled at analysing and interpreting economic data to inform decisions about everything from healthcare to financial policy, economic growth and development, natural resources and the environment, and the organisation and structure of markets.

The Applied Economics specialisation will develop your technical knowledge alongside your real-world problem-solving and decision-making skills, so that you’re well prepared to advance your career. You’ll study development economics, ecological economics, health economics and international trade. With an interdisciplinary focus, this specialisation will help you develop the capabilities to work in increasingly diverse fields that cross traditional discipline boundaries.
