Master of Commerce with a Specialisation in Finance

    About

The finance world is continuously evolving, making it a remarkably exciting field to work in. With specialist knowledge of financial institutions, markets and instruments, the flow of funds within the economy and financial risks, finance experts are in demand across the globe.

The Finance specialisation will equip you with the professional skills and knowledge you’ll need to advance your career in the finance profession. You’ll undertake advanced studies in areas such as business valuation, capital markets, financial modelling and forecasting, and investments. You’ll conduct independent research and solve sophisticated financial problems in complex contexts. And you’ll develop your awareness of ethical, social, regulatory, economic and sustainability challenges relevant to the financial sector.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

Entry into most postgraduate degrees requires you to have successfully completed a bachelor degree or equivalent from a recognised institution. You may also need to have achieved a specific Weighted Average Mark (WAM) or undertaken work experience. Our admissions team will determine whether your qualifications and prior experience meet the entry requirements and is also likely to satisfy the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement for a Student Visa.

Macquarie provides indicative WAM conversions for a range of different grading systems from different countries. Please view our academic entry requirements for international students.
