    How should we care for people with mental health issues? Whats the impact of substance misuse? Why is family-centred care important? At Kings College London, well help you answer these big questions and teach you how to help people during the most challenging times of their lives. As a mental health nurse, you need to be prepared for fast-paced, challenging situations. From forensic psychiatry to child and adolescent mental health, weve designed our course to equip you with the skills you need to help people facing a wide range of challenges.   Psychological theory and its application to nursing practice and to understanding the relationship between mental, physical and emotional health. Theory and practice of medical ethics and law and its application to mental health nursing care. The role of the mental health nurse in relation to systems, organisation and frameworks for care delivery both at an institutional and an individual level. The growing importance of technology in health care and delivery and the role of the mental health nurse in delivering digital health. The role and contribution of the mental health nurse in relation to Quality Improvement and Health Interventions both in theory and in practice. The theory and practice of person-centred and holistic practice. Theory of bioscience and its application to mental health nursing care. Theories of social and environmental science and their application to mental health nursing in different contexts Nursing is demanding, hands-on and rewarding – and so are our courses. Our graduates take on roles in the NHS and other healthcare organisations where they plan treatment and provide high quality care.

    Entry Requirements

    Certificate of General Secondary Education will not be considered for direct entry - study our International Foundation Programme instead. Please note: students completing King's International Foundation programme will not be able to progress onto our Dentistry programmes.
