Our Mental Health course equips you with both the practical skills and the theoretical understanding of how to care for people effectively. Being in the heart of London, youll come across a really diverse mix of patients and situations. So when you leave Kings, youll be ready to take on any challenge. The course will enable the student to develop knowledge and understanding of the evidence-base for mental health nursing practice. Knowledge and understanding of a bio-psycho-pharmaco-social assessment of healthcare needs including psychiatric formulation of plans and strategies for meeting healthcare needs and delivering person-centred nursing practice. The essential physical and mental health needs of people of all ages. Self-awareness, emotional intelligence and reliance building (for health and well-being). Information management and use of technology in healthcare delivery, and the role of the nurse in delivering digital health. Medication management and pharmacology. Ethics (including consent), law and the humanities.

    Entry Requirements

    Certificate of General Secondary Education will not be considered for direct entry - study our International Foundation Programme instead. Please note: students completing King's International Foundation programme will not be able to progress onto our Dentistry programmes.
