About the program and its basic topics
The doctoral program in Psychological and Educational Counseling was established at the beginning of the academic year
2000/2001. The program's study plan consists of 54 credit hours divided into (18) hours of compulsory subjects and (18) hours of elective subjects. Passing and succeeding in the cognitive proficiency exam is required as it is one of the program's courses (18) hours for the university thesis. The study materials are distributed between compulsory and elective subjects and (400) hours of field training under the supervision of the teacher. The program's basic topics are based on: Supervision in Counseling The principles of psychological and educational measurement also deal with the theory and application of counseling and psychotherapy and methods of communication in counseling. This program explains in the materials presented through it the counseling of special groups, and it also deals with psychological disorders and their diagnosis. At the end of the specialization materials, the student is expected to complete field training in counseling in the final semester for graduation.
