Psychological Guidance and Counselling at Hacettepe University

About

Students are admitted to the degree program based upon standards specified by H.U. Graduate Education and Examination Guide. Persons holding master's degrees in the areas of Psychological Counseling and Guidance and Psychological Services in Education (only Psychological Counseling and Guidance Program) and Psychology can apply to the program. Specific admission criteria involve students' GPAs, their scores on foreign language and on the national Graduate Education Examination as well as their scores on the oral examination (interview) by the admission committee at the Division of Psychological Counseling and Guidance.

Students are awarded the doctoral degree upon successful completion of the coursework of 240 ECTS (half of which involve course work and the other half dissertation work), within a four-year span as well as successful completion of the doctoral qualifying examination held in accordance with standards of the H.U. Graduate Education and Examination Guide and a doctoral dissertation approved by their respective doctoral committees and by the Institute of Social Sciences.
