Career
Employability
Regenerative medicine is at the forefront of the new wave of modern treatments, including personalised medicine. Its applications are being increasingly used in a variety of medical and dental fields in a variety of ways, from use of stem cells and novel biomaterials in treating physical injuries and conditions, to the use of microbiome modulation in treating chronic infections and inflammatory diseases. This iBSc will prepare medical school graduates to understand and take full advantage of these new approaches to diagnosis and treatment currently being developed and expanded within the NHS. The programme prepares students for pathways leading to consultant positions in dental and medical fields, as well as providing a foundation for exploitation through a higher research degree.
