The student who is successful in the proficiency exam and whose thesis proposal is accepted prepares the doctoral thesis under the supervision of the thesis monitoring committee. He has to write his results in accordance with the institute thesis writing rules, present his thesis in front of the jury and defend it orally. For every stage of the program, the relevant rules set out in the Hacettepe University Postgraduate Education Regulation are valid.
Following the completion of theoretical and practical courses in the first two years, the student must be successful in the doctoral qualifying exam. Students who are successful in the proficiency exam are taken to the thesis defense exam at the end of the fourth year by performing a thesis study. 21 credits (240 ECTS credits) must be completed for graduation.
