    About

    This international double master's program enables you to complete the requirements of the Monash Master of Strategic Communications Management as well as a second degree with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), with one year in Australia and one in China.

    Drawing on best practices locally and globally, this double master’s will lead you to become an expert in audience research and analytics, advocacy and persuasion, public relations and crisis communications. You’ll be equipped with the skills and knowledge to build effective and ethical stakeholder engagement strategies, as well as the expertise to communicate with diverse audiences in an increasingly global environment. You’ll examine the impact of persuasive story-telling and influencer strategies, and will consider the effectiveness of integrated media campaigns using both traditional and digital approaches. Through core units, you’ll build a deep understanding of big data and how it is used, such as evaluating audience sentiment.

    Qualifications

    An Australian bachelor degree with a cognate discipline* with at least credit (60%) average.

    OR

    An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in a cognate* discipline with at least a 50% average in both qualifications.

    *Cognate disciplines include: humanities and social sciences

    For Chinese Nationals:

    Please note that Shanghai Jiao Tong University requires Chinese nationals to sit and pass the National Master Unified Entrance Examination for master students (written exam and an interview with Shanghai Jiao Tong University) before applying to Monash for admission to this course.
