Joint Program
The 3+2 program is an opportunity to earn a B.S. in Environmental Science from UNCW and a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University in five years.
Dual Campus Experience
You will attend in-person classes at UNCW. Students may take 1-2 engineering courses via live video conference with NC State in the sophomore year but will still convene on UNCW's campus to participate.
You must finish the UNCW phase of study with an overall GPA of at least 3.25, earn at least a 2.00 overall GPA in any NCSU distance education courses taken, and have at least a 2.50 GPA in the last two calculus courses attempted to meet NCSU's transfer admission requirements. You will be advised jointly by the Department of Environmental Sciences and the director of the Engineering Program at UNCW to assure completion of the correct requirements for both programs.
