Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours)

Physiotherapists work across many health settings and complex clinical problems. These involve musculoskeletal, neurological or cardiorespiratory systems.

This program integrates the clinical and basic sciences, focusing on evidence-based physiotherapy practice. The program involves case-based learning with a strong inter-disciplinary focus. Gain hands-on experience through clinical placements and interactive teamwork activities. Learn exceptional communication and interpersonal skills needed to work one on one with patients.

Course overview

Your physiotherapy studies will teach you theoretical knowledge in biomedical and behavioural sciences. You will also have plenty of opportunities to hone your skills through hands-on professional placements. You will study courses in areas such as:

• Advanced anatomy
• Clinical physiotherapy
• Community health
• Health promotion
• Physiology and pathophysiology
• Statistics and research methodology

Admission to our undergraduate degree programs usually requires successful completion of a senior secondary school qualification similar to the Higher School Certificate (HSC), the highest educational award in New South Wales schools.

In the application portal, you can enter the program you wish to study and upload relevant documents needed as part of your application. It is recommended you submit your application a minimum of 12 weeks before your intended semester of trimester start date.
